Onyema Offoedu-Okeke

Onyema Offoedu-Okeke uses edgy sharpness and sometimes rebellious eyes, to create arresting imagistic reminders of the manifold ways in which corruption, dictatorship, and sundry forms of misrule, have left their awful imprints on people in Africa and other parts of the world.

He describes himself as having always been ‘a modernist’ and credits his “stylistic unorthodoxy” to his background in architecture.

Offoedu-Okeke received a degree in Architecture from the University of Nigeria, Enugu in 1992. He has participated in over 20 group shows internationally in a range of countries that include: Britain Greece, Spain, Germany and Sweden and has also had several solo exhibitions.
